The 2009 Tacoma College & Career Fair was a big success! We had about 175 colleges and about 2500 visitors! I haven’t seen the final official list of colleges, but for now you can see the last update at tiny.cc/Tacoma_Fair_List.
On September 29, 2008 the Tacoma Public Schools sponsored the first annual Tacoma College & Career Fair hosted by the University of Puget Sound. Everyone was excited by the turnout, both by colleges and by students and families. There were 97 presenters and more than 1200 students and parents. We had originally planned to hold the fair in the UPS Fieldhouse, but had to move it to a large party tent outside Wyatt Hall. The weather was perfect for late September in the Pacific Northwest, clear, dry, about 75 degrees. What a great way to start a new tradition!
