College Consortia List

April 23, 2008

Thanks for all of the great responses. Here is what I have learned:

1. The last 3 pages of the Fiske Guide to Colleges has a list of consortia.

2. There is a Wikipedia page that lists some groupings of colleges: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:University_associations_and_consortia (Isn’t there a Wiki page for everything?)

3. Here is the list generated from the list. It will be posted as a .doc file on my web page (classrooms.tacoma.k12.wa.us/wilson/mburns/index.php) for the next week or so. Look in the Documents tab or the link on the main page. It has also been posted here on my blog, (mrhscounselor.edublogs.org). I have left out any affiliations that are primarily athletic conferences; e.g., Ivy League, Pac 10, Big East, ACC, etc. I have also not included the application groups like Common App and the Universal College App.
